Six Days of Off-Road Adventure Around Susa
The starting point of our tour is Susa in the Italian region of Piedmont. From here, we set out on a six-day off-road journey through one of the most fascinating mountain regions in the Alps.
Old military roads, high mountain passes, and secluded ridge trails take us deep into the mountainous region between Italy and France. Along the way, we combine some of the region’s most famous off-road classics with lesser-known side roads and varied detours.
Highlights include the Col du Sommelier, Mont Jaffreau, the legendary Assietta Ridge Road, and Monte Brechia. As a special extension, the trip also takes us over the spectacular Col de l’Iseran to Val d’Isère in France .
Type of Trip
This trip is designed for off-road drivers who want to experience the northern Western Alps in depth and get the most out of their driving.
The focus is on historic military roads, high-alpine gravel roads, and the fascinating landscape of the Italian-French border region. The route combines well-known classics with shorter detours, leaving plenty of time for photo stops, breaks, and spontaneous variations.
We’ll be staying in hotels or other quality accommodations along the route. During the day, we’ll be largely self-sufficient and will provide our own food and drinks. Whenever possible, we’ll have dinner together at our accommodations or at restaurants.
The route is subject to change depending on weather, snow conditions, closures, and the applicable access regulations . Conditions can change quickly, especially in high-alpine regions.
